I had many chances to give up. I had many chances to tell my body to stop fighting. But, I was reminded that life is not meant to be easy and things happen for reasons we may not always understand. But it has made me the person I am today. I was reminded to live in the moment, because it is a blessing. I was reminded to hang on to the good and let go of the rest.
Today is bitter-sweet as we say goodbye to our journey in Washington D.C…but, my mother and I can finally say that we are COMING HOME!!! Now it is time to start a new chapter in my road to recovery and trust in the new beginnings ahead of us – chin chin!
On my return to England, I will be immediately seeing my specialists in London for many appointments, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy and pain management sessions continuing my recovery. I hope you can bare with us during this period and understand that my family and I would like some special quality time together after a long 8 months of separation. I am very excited coming home and seeing you all, but will need some time to settle in and process what I have been through.
Thank you all for your continued support – we couldn’t have done it without you!
